SQL connection error rates have dropped significantly over the past 10 hours and are back to baseline levels. The underlying cause is still under investigation.

Beginning 11 October 00:00 UTC we have observed elevated levels of Azure SQL connectivity issues in the West US 2 region. We're investigating the impact.
